The AES show is coming around again and I know the two most
important questions on everyone's mind are "Will there be a
Gabe Wiener memorial dinner again this year?" and "Will we 
have to eat food with durian secretly hiding in it?"  Well,
the answer to both of these questions is a resounding yes.

Keeping up a tradition started by Gabe Wiener (author of the
rec.audio.pro FAQ and originator of the Pro Audio list) around
1995, we're happy to announce the 2019 edition of the
rec.audio.pro/Ampex/ProAudio list get-together in New York
in a couple weeks. If you are attending the AES and would
like to join us, the group will be meeting at 6pm on Friday,
Oct 18 at the Josephson booth.   We will then be proceeding 
en masse to a yet-to-be-defined Chinese, Korean, or Malay
restaurant.

I know Friday is a problem for some people but it avoids the 
Heyser lecture and most of the vendor dinners.  We're not asking
for solid sign-ups but let us know if you are coming if you can.

No, there will be no dinner at Ars Nova this year, unfortunately,
but we will find a place that is very good.  Please RSVP because
where we select is likely to depend on the size of the group.
