The AES show is coming around again and I know the two most<br>
important questions on everyone's mind are "Will there be a<br>
Gabe Wiener memorial dinner again this year?" and "Will we <br>
have to eat food with durian secretly hiding in it?"  Well,<br>
the answer to both of these questions is a resounding yes.<br>

Keeping up a tradition started by Gabe Wiener (author of the<br>
<a href="http://rec.audio.pro" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">rec.audio.pro</a> FAQ and originator of the Pro Audio list) around<br>
1995, we're happy to announce the 2019 edition of the<br>
<a href="http://rec.audio.pro/Ampex/ProAudio" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">rec.audio.pro/Ampex/ProAudio</a> list get-together in New York<br>
in a couple weeks. If you are attending the AES and would<br>
like to join us, the group will be meeting at 6pm on Friday,<br>
Oct 18 at the Josephson booth.   We will then be proceeding <br>
en masse to a yet-to-be-defined Chinese, Korean, or Malay<br>
restaurant.<br>

I know Friday is a problem for some people but it avoids the <br>
Heyser lecture and most of the vendor dinners.  We're not asking<br>
for solid sign-ups but let us know if you are coming if you can.<br>
<br>
No, there will be no dinner at Ars Nova this year, unfortunately,<br>
but we will find a place that is very good.  Please RSVP because<br>
where we select is likely to depend on the size of the group.<br>
